<First_Paragraph>In our culture as people of the heavens, it is considered as the greatest bestowal to be granted the gift of giving voice to the perceived silence of the stars because of their distance. </First_Paragraph>

<Body_Text>This is a divine blessing of the highest order. Few people are naturally imbued with this capacity to narrate the episodic unfolding of the human story beneath the vast cosmic canopy.</Body_Text>

<Body_Text>This natural endowment often expresses itself through enhanced abilities in the fields of poetry, music, dance and the visual arts. Lu Dlamini is blessed with the braided gift of all these creative expressive forms. So, it is a natural consequence for her to take on the task of translating Khalil Gibran’s divinely inspired narrative.</Body_Text>

<Body_Text>Dlamini’s insights in sharing this universal knowledge through the indigenous wisdom contained in the tongue of our mothers emanate from the same reservoir of spiritual permanence as Gibran’s original text. They share the same root of poetic magnetism, which is the purest form of expression.</Body_Text>

<Body_Text>It is encouraging, against the backdrop of the ubiquity of intolerance of cultural difference in our world, to encounter the kind of cross-cultural magnanimity that Dlamini reflects in her recognition of idiosyncratic nuances across the spread of the Nguni language/s. This particular sense of generosity and openness of consciousness in her embrace of the other is clearly a consequence of her royal lineage accentuated by the fact of emerging from the legacy of the uMkhomazi River, whose source is in the Drakensberg Mountains (Izintaba zoKhahlamba).</Body_Text>

<Body_Text>The composition of this book is further ennobled by the beautiful art of Zamani Makhanya. Each piece is sublime in its execution and serves to intensify the poetic delectations of the text and the inherent beauty of the author’s vision.</Body_Text>
