Connecting Beyond Boundaries: 50 Years of the UJ Choir
The University of Johannesburg Choir has bloomed into a musical hybrid that reflects the struggles of the country’s past and hope for its future. It is a celebration of the power of song to bring together people of disparate socio-political experiences into a harmony that transcends the ephemeral boundaries of a sacred land. It is a celebration of the immeasurable capability of the coalesced human voice to build and restore the neglected – but far from extinct – beneficial values of peace, love, equality, justice, compassion, and community that are the basis of true humanity.
